For the past several years, Apple has made a habbit of gathering in September to launch its newest iPod products for the holiday-shopping season. This time around, Apple would certainly be launching new iPods but rumors have been lurking around the web that the new iPod Nano and iPod Touch will reportedly have cameras. The event is likely to take place on September 9th according to AppleInsider.
The addition of cameras would increase the functionality of iPods, making them dual-purpose devices. There are also some rumors about the iTunes 9. It is also speculated that the iTunes 9 will also be making its debut in the September 9 event. The iTunes 9 is likely to include a number of social networking features which sounds very interesting.
Whether or not these rumors are true, it remains to be seen. However if Apple does launch iPods with cameras, it will certainly be a very useful addition to the iPods. Another hot news is that the much talked about iTablet is almost certain NOT to make its debut, with most insider leaks indicating we won’t see the device make an appearance until 2010.
